Shingle Grade

Asphalt shingles come in three grades: 3-tab, architectural shingles, and luxury shingles. 3-tabs are your entry level choice and offer basic protection from the elements. While the protection offered by 3-tabs is decent, if you want to minimize yearly storm damage repair, we recommend choosing a higher shingle grade. Wind Tolerance

As a general rule, the higher the wind tolerance an asphalt shingle has, the heavier it is. This means your roofing system needs to be able to support more weight.
